PCMC: Two women from Kudalwadi and Bijlinagar found Corona positive

Pimpri Chinchwad, May 22, 2020:The number of cases is rising drastically in Pimpri Chinchwad. Two women were found positive today at Chinchwad, one from Kudalwadi, Chikhali and the other from Bijlinagar. The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) had sent the swab samples of the Corona suspects to the National Insititute of Virology (NIV), Pune, for investigation. Some of these reports arrived in the morning revealed that two women aged 27 and 45 from Kudalwadi and Bijlinagar respectively have come positive.

The tally has reached 77 active patients in the city so far and are undergoing treatment. However, till now 254 people in the city have been infected with COVID -19, and 153 of them have recovered from it. Moreover, 11 patients from Moshi, Pimplegurav, Chikhali, Indiranagar have been discharged from the hospitals fully recovered. Also, seven people in the city have died of Corona till now.

In the fourth phase of lockdown, Pimpri – Chinchwad city has been excluded from the red zone. Consequently, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has decided to revive public life in the city. However, life will remain confined in the containment zones.
