Pimpri Chinchwad: 44 fresh COVID patients in PCMC, 22 discharged today

Pimpri, June 6, 2020: Till 10 pm, a total of 44 new Coronavirus positive patients were reported from different parts of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) today. Also, 22 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured. The number of corona patients in Pimpri-Chinchwad has been increasing rapidly in the last few days.

The new patients include 14 from Chinchwad, 10 from Pimpri, 2 from Dapodi, 1 from Nigdi, 1 from Pimple Gurav, 1 from Rupinagar, 1 from Sangvi, 1 from Wakad, 1 from Kharalwadi, 1 from Vallabhnagar and 11 from Akurdi. Also, eight non-PCMC residents were admitted to YCM hospital and they are from Khed, Junnar, Deccan, Yerwada, Shivajinagar, Dehuroad, Chakan. A 64-year-old man from Ambegaon died in YCM Hospital while undergoing treatment for COVID19.

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 723 out of which 438 have been cured while 12 have died. There are still 251 active patients including 28 who are admitted in hospitals outside PCMC. Out of 122 non-PCMC patients, 17 have died while 59 have been cured and remaining 46 are undergoing treatment.
