Pimpri Chinchwad: Five members of a family found Coronavirus positive, total tally reaches 35

Pimpri, April 13, 2020: Five members of a family have been found Coronavirus positive in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Now the total number of positive cases has reached 35 in the city and 12 of them have been cured while a 42-year-old man has died.

According to PCMC officials, a man was found positive on Saturday. Now four women from his family have been detected Coronavirus positive. PCMC Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar said that Corona infection has created a health emergency in the city. Considering the number of affected patients in the city, it is necessary to limit the movement of citizens in some areas.

Meanwhile, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has sealed areas of Dapodi and Kasarwadi as many positive patients have been detected there. Nobody will be allowed to move out or enter these areas. All residents have been ordered to wear a mask. PCMC has already sealed parts of Thergaon, Kharalwadi, Chikhali and Dighi.

As per the information available Pune district health officer, the total number of Coronavirus Positive patients has reached 284 till April 12. A total of 30 of them have died, while 38 have been cured and discharged from hospitals. Therefore, there are 216 active cases in the district including 189 in Pune city.

According to the Maharashtra Health Department, 82 new COVID19 cases including 59 cases in Mumbai have been reported in the state today. Now the total number of positive cases in the state is 2064.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of deaths has reached 308 including 35 deaths in the last 24 hours across the country. India’s total number of #Coronavirus positive cases has increased to 9152 (including 7987 active cases, 856 cured/discharged/migrated and 308 deaths).
