It is important to observe social distance and wear a mask to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. It must be complied with by all citizens. The municipality had initiated punitive action against the citizens of the city for not wearing masks.

In Pimpri-Chinchwad city, a fine of Rs 500 was being imposed to make people wear masks. But, the amount of fine is higher. Many have lost their jobs or getting reduced salaries due to the lockdown.
