Pimpri Chinchwad: Woman Found Murdered With Her Minor Son In Closed Room
Pimpri, January 10, 2021: The bodies of a mother and her 3-year-old son were found in a locked room at Walhekarwadi around 9 pm on Saturday. An unidentified man stabbed them to death, police stated.
The deceased have been identified as Sumaiya Nasir Sheikh (40) and her son Ayan (3). According to senior police inspector Sudhakar Kate, a foul odour was found emanating from a locked room at Walhekarwadi. Accordingly, the police were informed. A blood-stained knife was found next to the bodies. There were also bottles of liquor, biscuits, and chocolates lying outside the house.
When questioned by the police, the landlord said that the room was rented on December 15 to two youths who were rickshaw pullers. Both youths are absconding since Wednesday (January 6).
A case has been registered at Chinchwad police station and further investigation is currently underway.
