Pimpri: Four New Courses Added At YCM Hospital Postgraduate Medical Institute

Pimpri-Chinchwad, January 3, 2021: Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s YCM hospital in Pimpri will now start four new courses in addition to ten undergraduate courses. The new courses are Respiratory Medicine, Community Medicine, Dermatology Medicine and Ophthalmology.

YCM Hospital PGI has got permission from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) in Nashik. Students have also been given admission approval for the academic year 2020-2021. The number of seats includes Psychiatry (3), Pathology (3), Pediatric (4), Osteopathy (4), Gynaecology and Obstetrics (3), Ear-Nose-Throat (3), Anesthesiology (4), Medicine (6) and General Surgery (6).

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) took a decision in 2013 to start the Postgraduate teaching Course in the YCM hospital. Accordingly, PGMI-YCMH was established in 2013 at PCMC with the appointment of teaching faculty, specialists, super-specialists, senior residents and application to Medical Council of India & Maharashtra University of Health Science for approval to start Postgraduate courses in General Surgery, Anaesthesia, Orthopaedic, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Pathology, ENT, Psychiatry & Radiology.
