New Delhi, 17th April 2024: Devotees of Lord Shiva eagerly await the annual Amarnath Yatra (2024). This pilgrimage holds significant importance in Hinduism. That’s why every year, a large number of devotees arrive here to seek blessings from Baba Amarnath. In line with this, the registration for the Amarnath Yatra 2024 began on Monday, April 15th. This annual pilgrimage will commence on June 29th this year and will continue until August 19th, which is the festival of Raksha Bandhan. Those who wish to visit the Baba Barfani temple located in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir can register for it through Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India and YES Bank, along with 540 designated bank branches across the country or through the Shrine Board’s website. These are some essential details about its registration.

If you’re registering for the Amarnath Yatra 2024, you need to have a health certificate issued by a doctor and medical facilities approved by state or central governments. Please note that only health certificates issued after April 8, 2024, will be considered valid for the Amarnath Yatra 2024. The registration fee for one person is set at 250 rupees. Additionally, the person registering will need to provide contact details for all travelers, including a photo of each traveler, the group leader’s name, a mobile phone number and an active email address. The postal charges for sending these documents vary depending on the number of pilgrims in a group. These charges can range from 50 rupees for a group of one to five people to up to 300 rupees for a group of 26 to 30 people.

Here are the essential guidelines for the Amarnath Yatra 2024:

Age Limit:
– Individuals below 13 years and above 70 years of age cannot register for the Yatra.
– Pregnant women beyond six weeks are also not eligible for registration.

Health Certificate:
– All pilgrims must possess a health certificate issued by approved doctors and medical institutions recognized by state and central governments.

Registration through Banks:
– Interested individuals can register for the Yatra through Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India and YES Bank.

Required Documents:
– For registration, each person must provide a photograph, registration fee of 250 rupees per pilgrim, group leader’s name, mobile number and email address.

Postal Charges:
– Postal charges vary based on the number of pilgrims in a group:
– 1-5 pilgrims: 50 rupees
– 6-10 pilgrims: 100 rupees
– 11-15 pilgrims: 150 rupees
– 16-20 pilgrims: 200 rupees
– 21-25 pilgrims: 250 rupees
– 26-30 pilgrims: 300 rupees

Validity of Health Certificate:
– Please note that only health certificates issued after April 8, 2024, will be considered valid for this year’s Yatra.
