The administrative officers in the area had no idea about the occurrence of such a visit in advance. The Commissioner assured Tingre that he would soon hold a meeting with the departments involved with regard to the completion of the work.

Along with Nagar Road, traffic congestion is a major issue at several pending roads in Vadgaonsheri, Viman Nagar, Dhanori, etc. Tingre had recently demanded that the administration must soon resolve the issues pertaining to the completion of Shivane-Kharadi Road, following which Pune Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar had instructed the officials of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) as well as the Pune District Administration to look into the matter.

During his Wednesday visit, Kumar also sought information regarding the pending construction of riverside road in Kalyaninagar due to land acquisition issue, pending developmental projects at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Uyan, etc. He also visited several other roads and sites, construction for which has been pending for a few years, including Reddy Dhaba to CCD Chowk Road in Viman Nagar, 509 Chowk to Dhanori Jakat Naka Chowk, Palladium to Seven Heaven Chowk in Dhanori, DP Road from Jakat Naka in Dhanori to DY Patil College, Commerzone to Agrasen High School Road, etc.

Kumar assured Tingre that he will look into the issues that have led to the pendency of these roads, and the work will soon be completed.

Viman Nagar: Tingre said, “It has been 15 years since Viman Nagar was developed but the road in front of Konark Nagar Society (Reddy Hotel to CCD Chowk) has not been developed till date. There have been many accidents on this road and I used to get a lot of phone calls in this regard. To solve the problem of this road. PMC Commissioner inspected the site and after discussing the matter directly with the land owners, he assured that the road would be completed soon. My colleague Narayan Galande, Deokar family and citizens of the area were present.”

Vadgaonsheri, Kalyaninagar: “We visited Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Garden, Vadgaonsheri. Also inspected Kharadi-Shivne road, Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary in Kalyani Nagar and a culvert adjacent to Shubham Society-Gardenia Society”, Tingre added.

509 Chowk to Dhanori Jakat Naka road: “We inspected the incomplete road from 509 Chowk to Dhanori Jakat Naka. We discussed mainly hurdles with Airforce boundary wall. Vishrantwadi: “There is always a big traffic jam on the road from Vishrantwadi Chowk to Dhanori due to Buddha Vihar. The commissioner and I had a discussion with citizens on the issue and took blessings of Gautam Buddha in the monastery. Considering the problem of traffic congestion, the president, members and citizens of the Buddha Vihar have agreed to relocate the Buddha Vihar. At this time, I demanded the Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation to provide space for relocation of Buddha Vihar soon which will solve the problem of Dhanori-Vishrantwadi traffic congestion. My colleagues Narayan Galande, Ravi Tingre, Rajesh Bengal and citizens were present at this time”, MLA Tingre said.
