PMC Files Complaint With Pune Police Against Builders For Constructing Unauthorized Buildings In Ambegaon

Mauje Budruk, 5th January 2024: In a significant move, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has taken decisive action against the developers of 11 unauthorized buildings located next to Sinhagad College in Mauje Ambegaon Budruk area, falling under Zone No. 2.

The developers and their respective buildings that have faced legal action include Atharva Developers (4350 sq ft), Sai Ganesh Development and others (4300 sq ft), Shravani Development and others (4200 sq ft), RL Chorge and others (4250 sq ft), Shree Development and others (4200 sq ft), Sainath Development and others (4350 sq ft), Samarth Development and others (4450 sq ft), Gawli and others (4500 sq ft), Gurudatta Development (450 sq ft and 1700 sq ft). The total area of these buildings sums up to approximately 45050 sq ft.

On December 28, 2023, the PMC, through the Building Development Department in Zone No. 2, took action against these unauthorized constructions, resulting in the clearance of a total area of about 45050 sq ft.

Following the demolition and clearance, a formal complaint has been lodged with the Senior Police Inspector at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station, seeking legal action against the developers of the 11 buildings. The Executive Engineer from the Building Development Department, Zone No. 2, has confirmed that the process of filing the case is currently underway through the Senior Police Inspector at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station.
