PMC increases two more swab collection centres in Pune city

Pune, June 23, 2020: At present, there are 22 swab collection centres in the city, and soon 2 more centres at Wanawadi and Bibvewadi will be set up as these areas have turned out to be hotspots for Coronavirus.

The number of corona-infected patients in the city has crossed the 11,000 marks, adding an average of 350 new patients every day. There are currently 15,000 beds available in the city for the treatment of the infected. Approximately 4,000 people are currently undergoing treatment.

Patients with asymptomatic or mild symptoms will be home quarantined to reduce the stress on hospitals. Also, it was recently announced that they will be treated at home. However, the suspects need to be tested to prevent COVID-19.
