Pune: 1 Killed, 9 Injured In Bus-Truck Collision Near Wakad Bridge

Pune, January 11, 2021: A private bus travelling from Udgir (Latur district) to Mumbai and a truck met with a terrible accident near Wakad Bridge early morning today. A cleaner in the bus died and nine passengers were seriously injured.
The deceased has been identified as Bajrang Gaikwad (35). Out of the nine injured passengers, six have been admitted to District Hospital in Aundh while three passengers have been admitted to a private hospital.
According to police, Vanita Travels bus was going to Mumbai from Udgir. At around 4 am, the bus and a truck collided on the Pune-Bengaluru highway near Wakad Bridge. At 4.46 am the fire brigade was informed about the incident. Two fire tenders soon reached the spot. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospitals.
