Pune: 10-Year-Old Mentally Disabled Girl Found Safe After Going Missing in Bibwewadi
Bibwewadi, 16th August 2024: A 10-year-old mentally disabled girl who went missing from the Bibwewadi area has been found. On Wednesday (14th August), there was a stir when the girl from the Papal Wasti area of Bibwewadi went missing. The police immediately began searching for her. She was found yesterday night.
The girl went missing around 2 PM on Wednesday. After her disappearance, her family searched for her but could not locate her. A missing person report was filed at the Bibwewadi Police Station, and an investigation was promptly initiated. The police reviewed CCTV footage from the Bibwewadi and Katraj areas and identified that the girl had been in the Katraj area. A suspect was also seen in the footage.
Meanwhile, the police circulated information about the missing girl and her photograph on social media. It was discovered that the girl had gone to Katraj. The police had requested the public to provide information about her whereabouts.
Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma visited the Bibwewadi Police Station after learning about the incident and provided instructions for the investigation. Yesterday, a search operation was conducted by Pune Police’s Crime Branch teams. The girl was finally found at night and was brought to the Bibwewadi Police Station. Her family members expressed their relief and happiness upon her safe return.
