100 Saplings Planted In Wanwadi Forest Area

Pune, 2 October 2021: On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and October Service Week, the Lions Club of Pune Digital along with the Forest Department, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), National Society For Clean City jointly organised a plantation drive.

100 saplings were planted in the Wanwadi forest area behind Ruby Hall Clinic. They include native fruit trees like mango, guava, Indian blackberry (jambhul), Chiku, tamarind (chinch).

The event was attended by PMC additional commissioner Kunal Khemnar and forest department officer Nayakwadi.

On this occasion, the president of the club Prajakta Mane, Adv Prakash Bafna, Deepak Yekhe, Adv Ghanshyam Khalate, Rajesh Patane, Swati Hanamghar, Sunil Javalekar, Deepa Javalekar, Deepa Jadhav, Dhananjay Phulpagar, Provincial Treasurer Sharad Pawar, Provincial Leadership Chairman Anand Ambekar and ZDC Ram Prakash Murthy, as well as Badam Bafna, were also present.
