Pune: 106 fresh COVID cases today, 144 discharged from hospitals
Pune, May 15, 2020: As per the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) till 7.30 pm today, a total of 106 new Coronavirus positive patients were reported in Pune city, while 144 patients were discharged after being cured. Unfortunately, five patients lost their lives.
According to PMC, since March 9 the total number of COVID patients has reached 3093 now out of which 1630 have been cured and discharged while 174 have died till now. There are still 1289 active patients admitted to different hospitals. PMC health department officials said that there are 132 critical patients including 33 with ventilator support. Today swab samples of 1652 patients were collected for testing.
Among the five deaths, three were men and two women and all of them were between the age group 39 to 80. They were residents of Ghorpade Peth, Kamraj Nagar in Yerwada, Nagpur Chawl in Yerwada, Phursungi and Laxminagar in Yerwada.
