Pune: 11-Year-Old Girl Sexually Abused By Father, Brother, Grandfather And Maternal Uncle; FIR Registered

Pune, 19th March 2022: In a shocking incident, an 11-year-old girl was allegedly being sexually abused by her family members including her father and brother for the last four years. The incident came to light after she confided in her school counsellor following a session on ‘good touch, bad touch’.

Based on the complaint from the counsellor, an FIR has been registered at Bundgarden police station against the accused persons.

According to police, the family hails from another state. Her father had tried to rape her in their village when nobody was at home. Since 2020, her 14-year-old brother has been raping her. In January 2021, her grandfather harassed her while in May 2021, her maternal uncle sexually abused her.

A senior police told PunekarNews.in, “We have registered an FIR based on the complaint from the counsellor. Further investigation is going on.”

Police have registered the case for offences under 376, 376 (A) (B), 375 (rape), 376 (punishment for rape), 377 (unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 3(B), 4, 5 (M)(N), 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Assistant Police Inspector Savita Sapkale is further investigating the case.
