Pune: 1176 new Corona patients in Pune district, 6 deaths

Pune, Feb 22, 2021: With the addition of 1176 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 3,98,607 in Pune district. Also, 484 patients got discharged from hospitals while 6 people died.

Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 3,98,607 patients 3,82,238 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 9183 people have died. There are still 7355 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 7355, 4042 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 22,41,302  people have been tested in the district.

The 3,98,607 patients include 19,79,64 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 1,03,198 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 7091 from Cantonment areas, 70,063 are from Rural areas, and 20,291 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
