Pune: 11TH Edition of PYC- Pusalkar Premier League 2025 from 12th January

Pune, 10th January 2025: The 11th Edition of ‘PYC- Pusalkar Premier League 2025’, will be held on the PYC Hindu Gymkhana ground from 12th to 19th January 2025.

Mr. Kumar Tamhane, Hon. President, Mr. Sarang Lagu, Joint. Secretary of PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Mr. Rohan Pusalkar, Director of Pusalkar Su-rak-sha Components Pvt Ltd informed that Players were selected through an auction process by the team owners who are members of the club. The Title sponsor for the event will be Pusalkar Su-rak-sha Components Pvt Ltd, who has been sponsoring the event for the last 6 year. Hodek Vibration Technologies Pvt Ltd has also been associated with this event for the last 6 years as a Co-Sponsor. Belvalkar Housing Ltd, Ranjekar Realty, Chaphalkar Karandikar Construction, Supreme Infra, Nok-99 will be the other Co-sponsors.

Mr. Avinash Ranade, Cricket Secretary of PYC Hindu Gymkhana said that, from this year the winner team will be awarded Late. Vijay Pusalkar rolling trophy.

Krish Shah(5000pts, GM Typhoons) is the most expensive players at the auction, while Rohan Chajjed(4500pts,GM Typhoons), Ankush Jadhav(4500pts, A&A Sharks), Shriniwas Chaphalkar(4500pts,Oven Fresh Tuskers), Harshal Gandre(4500pts, Oven Fresh Tuskers), Harsha Jain(4500pts, Ranjekar-Deogaonkar Lions), Ishant Rege(4500pts,Supreme Belfins Tigers) were retained by the respective teams at the auction.

Speaking about the Tournament Details Mr. Sarang Lagu, Joint Secretary of PYC Hindu Gymkhana added that the format of the tournament is designed to be extremely competitive. 16 teams have been divided in 3 groups of 5 teams each in Group A and B, while 6 teams in C Group. Top 2 teams (on points) from each group plus two more teams on the basis of Points and Net Run Rate irrespective of their group will qualify for the round of 8 (quarter final stage). The winning teams from this stage will then move to play the Semi-Finals. The Finals will be played on Sunday 19th January 2025. The Match will be of 6 Over’s per side and will have 9 players per side.

A special committee comprising of Mr. Abhishek Tamhane, Mr.Avinash Ranade, Mr. Shirish Apte, Mr. Siddharth Date, Mr. Nandan Dongre, Mr. Vikas Achalkar has been formed to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. Mr. Niranjan Godbole will be Director of the Tournament.
