Pune: 1245 new Corona patients in Pune district, 1066 discharged

Pune, July 7, 2020: With the addition of 1245 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 29,844 in Pune district. Also, 1066 patients got discharged from hospitals while 21 people died.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 29,844 patients 18,395 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 890 people have died. There are still 10,536 active patients undergoing treatment including 403 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 2,02,213 people have been tested in the district.
The 29,844 patients include 22,277 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 5052 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 576 from Pune Cantonment, 225 from Khadki Cantonment, 30 from Dehuroad Cantonment and 1684 from Pune rural areas. In the Pune rural areas, there are 16 from Baramati town, 19 from Baramati rural,134 from Daund town, 1 from Jejuri, 47 from Talegaon Dabhade, 20 from Chakan, 80 from Saswad, 13 from Alandi, 10 from Lonavala, 4 from Shirur town, 2 from Junnar town, 19 from Indapur town, 5 from Bhor town, 2 from Vadgaon, 16 from Rajguru Nagar, 555 from Haveli, 57 from Shirur, 81 from Junnar rural, 154 from Khed, 112 from Mulshi, 37 from Velha, 37 from Bhor, 22 from Indapur rural, 52 from Daund rural, 86 from Maval, 38 from Purandar and 65 from Ambegaon.
State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 211,987. Yesterday, newly 5368 patients have been identified as positive. Also newly 3522 patients have been cured yesterday. Till now 115,262 patients are cured and discharged from the hospitals while there are still 87,681 active patients in the state. Yesterday, 204 people died taking the total deaths to 9026 till now.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 7,19,665 across the country. Out of this, 439,947 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 20,160 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 259,557 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
