Pune: 14-Year-Old Girl Killed By Jilted Lover In Bibvewadi, Tries To Behead Her

Bibvewadi, 12th October 2021: In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old girl who was a kabaddi player was killed in Bibvewadi today evening. Police said that the incident is the fallout of a one-sided love affair.

 

The incident took place in front of Yash lawns in Bibwewadi around 5.30 pm on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Kshitija Anant Vyawhare.

 

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) Namrata Patil, the girl was killed out of one-sided love. She studied in class 8th and was a kabaddi player. She had come for kabaddi and fitness practice with her friends. At that time, the accused reached there with his two friends on a bike and called her aside. There was an argument and one of them attacked her with a sharp weapon and severed her head. The accused then fled to the spot.

 

She further informed that the accused Hrishikesh alias Shubham Bhagwat is her relative. About two years ago he was warned after her family learnt about his overtures.

 

DCP Patil said that a toy pistol has been also recovered from the spot which the accused might have used to threaten the girl’s friends. There is a house located about 100 meters from the spot but she did not get any help on time. Further investigation is going on to nab the accused persons.
