Pune: 17 Volunteers Given Russia’s Corona Vaccine Sputnik-V For Human Trial
Pune, December 7, 2020: The second phase of testing of Russia’s Sputnik-V vaccine has started in India. The test is being conducted at the Noble Hospital in Hadapsar and 17 volunteers have been given the dose of the vaccine. Meanwhile, all of them have been kept under medical supervision.
The administration of Noble Hospital stated that the trial protocol is being fully adhered to in the clinical trial of the vaccine. People who have been vaccinated are over 18 years old and in good health.
The Sputnik-V vaccine is being developed jointly by the Gamaleya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF). According to media reports, India has placed an order for 100 million doses of the vaccine from Russia.
