Pune: 21-Year-Old Woman from Sangvi Goes Missing, Found Dead Near Lohagad

Lonavla, 20th March 2025: The body of Manasi Prashant Govindpurkar (21), a resident of Sangvi, who had been missing since March 18, 2025, was found near the Navagraha Temple at the base of Lohagad Fort on Wednesday morning.
Manasi had traveled alone to Lohagad Fort, booking a private taxi to reach the location. CCTV footage captured her near the ticket office at 8:56 AM, but there was no record of her returning. The Pimpri Chinchwad police launched an investigation and traced the taxi driver, who confirmed that he had dropped her off at the fort and that she was alone.
Since the morning, her relatives and police teams had been conducting a search operation around the fort. A call received from Shivdurg rescue team led them to the discovery of her body in the bushes near the Navagraha Temple. The rescue team retrieved the body, packed it in a stretcher, and handed it over to her family and the police.
The cause of death is yet to be determined, and police are conducting further investigations to ascertain whether it was an accident or foul play.
