Pune: 22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Tragic Katraj Bypass Crash
Mantarwadi, 23rd February 2025: A 22-year-old college student lost his life in a tragic accident on the Katraj-Mantarwadi bypass road due to over-speeding. The victim, identified as Ruchim Mohit Kapoor, a resident of Undri, Kondhwa, succumbed to fatal injuries after his speeding motorcycle crashed into a culvert.
According to police reports, the accident occurred on Saturday, February 22, when Ruchim was riding along the bypass road. Near Mantarwadi, he lost control of his vehicle, causing the motorcycle to collide violently with a culvert on the roadside. The impact was severe, leaving the motorcycle completely crushed.
Upon receiving information about the accident, the police and emergency responders rushed to the scene and immediately transported Ruchim to a hospital. However, doctors declared him dead before treatment could begin. Police officials have confirmed that excessive speed was the primary cause of the crash.
A case has been registered at the Kalepadal police station, and Assistant Police Inspector Vilas Sutar is leading the investigation. Police officer Yuvraj Dudhal has officially filed a complaint regarding the incident.
