Pune: 2500 Cusecs Water To Be Released From Mulshi Dam Today; Safety Advisory Issued
Pune, 24th July 2025: Water discharge from the Mulshi Dam into the Mula River is scheduled today (24th July) at 2:00 pm, with an initial release of 2,500 cusecs. As a precautionary measure, residents living near the river and in low-lying areas have been urged to remain alert.
The dam is currently at 79.74% of its full capacity, and intermittent rainfall in the catchment area has led to rising inflows. Officials have stated that the discharge volume may be increased or decreased depending on future rainfall and water inflow.
Local authorities have also been requested to inform residents in vulnerable zones and ensure appropriate safety measures are in place.
