Pune: 3 Workers Sustain Severe Burn Injuries After Compressor Near Chakan MIDC Area

Chakan, 30th March 2022: A sudden explosion of a compressor in Sokin Electrical-Engineering Company at Alandi Phata on Pune-Nashik Highway seriously injured three workers on Tuesday (March 29) around 4 pm.

All the workers were rushed to a nearby hospital. The fire in the company was immediately extinguished.

The company was shut down after the incident. No official information has been given by the concerned company officials in this regard.

Meanwhile, according to the information given by Chakan police late last night, three workers are severely injured.

The injured workers are Virendra Banwari Yadav (age 28), Akshay Bheemrao Kedare (age 27), and Shivaji Nilkanth Appa Mathapati (age 28), all residents of Medankarwadi in Khed taluka.

Yadav has sustained 80% burn injuries, Kedare 60% and Mathapati 95%. They are undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of the hospital.
