Kondhwa, 31st October 2023: Approximately 32,500 electricity consumers in the Kondhwa area of Pune can now look forward to a more reliable and high-quality power supply. The persistent issue of overloaded power lines has been successfully addressed, with the existing power lines being divided and alternative power supply arrangements established through load management.

Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar recently inaugurated the new 22 KV power line originating from the Shobha 22/22 switching station, a part of the Rasta Peth division of MSEDCL. During the inauguration, several key officials, including Superintending Engineer Arvind Bulbule, Executive Engineer Chandrakant Dighe, Additional Executive Engineer Rajendra Bhujbal, and Assistant Engineer Srikant Avachar, were present to mark the occasion.

Previously, electricity was supplied to 32,500 consumers in the Kondhwa area via the 22 KV power line from the Sobha switching station. However, the escalating demand for electricity had placed a significant load on this channel, and there was a lack of an alternative power supply mechanism due to load management limitations. To address this issue, MSEDCL completed the construction of a new 22 KV power line, known as the JK Park 22 KV power line, originating from the same switching station. Consequently, out of the 32,503 consumers on the original power line, 15,019 are now served by the Sobha-Kondhwa power line, while the remaining 17,484 are connected to the new JK Park power line.

This development means that electricity consumers in areas like Bhagyodanagar, Saibaba Nagar, Nawazish Park, Mitha Nagar more in the Kondhwa region will enjoy higher quality and smoother power supply, thus enhancing their daily lives and businesses.
