Pune: 4070 new Corona patients in Pune district, 73 deaths
Pune, Aug 30, 2020: With the addition of 4070 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 1,64,525 in Pune district. Also, 3354 patients got discharged from hospitals while 73 people died.
Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 1,64,525 patients 1,26,949 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 4010 people have died. There are still 33,688 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 33,688, 14,292 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 7,11,080 people have been tested in the district.
The 1,64,525 patients include 92,839 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 47,660 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 3391 from Cantonment areas, 15,846 are from Rural areas, and 4789 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
Across Maharashtra, 11,541 people got discharged from hospitals while 16,867 new cases and 328 deaths were reported yesterday. The total number of COVID cases has reached 7,64,281 out of which 5,54,711 people have recovered and 24,103 have died. There are 1,85,131 active cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,542,733 across the country. Out of this, 2,713,933 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 63,498 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 7,65,302 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
