Pune: 53-Year-Old Man Duped of Rs 30 Lakh With Promise of Rs 90 LPA Job in Pimpri Chinchwad
Nigdi, 28th June 2025: A 53-year-old man from Pimpri Chinchwad was duped of ₹28.30 lakh under the pretext of securing a job with an annual package of ₹90 lakh. After receiving the money, the accused stopped responding to the complainant. Realising he had been cheated, the victim rushed to Nigdi Police Station and filed a complaint against two individuals, Rohan Roy Choudhary and Madhav Kulkarni, whose full addresses and personal details are currently unknown.
The incident took place between 19th February and 15th May through online communication. According to the police, the complainant received a phone call at his residence in Nigdi from the two accused, who offered him a senior position in a reputed company with a ₹90 lakh annual salary. Believing the offer to be genuine, he transferred a total of ₹28,31,755 in multiple transactions.
However, he neither received the job offer letter nor any refund. The matter is currently under investigation by Police Inspector (Crime) Misal from Nigdi Police Station.
