Pune: 8 Killed, 4 Injured in Horrific Road Accident Near Jejuri
Pune, 18th June 2025: In a devastating road accident near Jejuri on the Jejuri-Morgaon Road, eight people lost their lives and four others were injured. The mishap occurred around 6:45 PM near Shriram Dhaba, opposite Kirloskar Company, within the jurisdiction of Jejuri Police Station.
According to police, the owner of Shriram Dhaba, Somnath Ramchandra Vayase, was unloading a refrigerator from a delivery pickup vehicle in front of his eatery when a speeding Swift Dzire car rammed into the vehicle from behind. The collision resulted in the immediate death of seven men and one woman.
Additionally, one man, one woman, and two children sustained injuries in the incident.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Jejuri Rural Hospital for post-mortem examination. The injured have been admitted to Shantai Hospital in Jejuri for treatment.

Ramu Sanjeevani Yadav – Resident of Purandar taluka, Pune district
Ajay Kumar Chavan – Resident of Uttar Pradesh
Ajit Ashok Jadhav – Resident of Kanjale, Bhor taluka, Pune district
Kiran Bharat Raut – Resident of Pawarwadi, Indapur taluka, Pune district
Ashwini Santosh S.R. – Resident of Solapur
Akshay Sanjay Raut – Resident of Zhargadwadi, Baramati taluka, Pune district
One unidentified male
Jejuri police are investigating the case and are in the process of identifying the unknown deceased person. Further details are awaited.
