Pune, 28th January 2021: Overall, 83 percent of beneficiaries were vaccinated in Pune city on Wednesday. This is the highest number of vaccinations in the city since the Corona Prevention Vaccination Campaign began on January 16. Vaccination also appears to have increased due to the reduction of technical barriers in the Co-WIN app in city centres.

Health Officer of Pune Municipal Corporation Dr Ashish Bharti said Wednesday’s 83 percent daytime vaccination was the highest ever in the city. The vaccination campaign started on January 16, after which technical errors in the use of Co-WIN app were hampering vaccination. But now the errors have been reduced by 80%. So the message is sent the day before to the 100 beneficiaries who want to be vaccinated on the next day. The beneficiary is also informed by telephone call about the vaccination.

When less than 100 beneficiaries come to the vaccination centre, other beneficiaries are contacted. Therefore, the rate of vaccination is increasing, we are trying to make it 100 percent, said Dr Bharti.

Vaccination of 1403 persons:

It was planned to vaccinate 1700 beneficiaries on Wednesday. 1403 of them were vaccinated. The Ruby Hall Clinic saw 100 percent vaccinated. 90% of the beneficiaries were vaccinated at Jehangir Hospital and 101% at KEM Hospital. While the target was 100 beneficiaries, 192 were vaccinated at Bharti Hospital and 214 at Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital. The vaccination centre at Sassoon Hospital had the lowest vaccination rate at 39 percent.
