Pune ACB Arrests Man for Bribing Police Officer with Rs 2,000
Pune, 27th December 2024: The Pune Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested an individual for paying a bribe of Rs 2,000 to an Assistant Police Inspector in exchange for help with a registered crime. A case has been registered against the accused at Bund Garden Police Station. The accused has been identified as Hasan Ali Gulab Bartakke (45, resident of Tadiwala Road).
Assistant Police Inspector Nandkumar Kadam filed a complaint with the ACB in this regard. According to the ACB, a case has been registered against Hasan Ali at Bund Garden Police Station. Assistant Police Inspector Kadam is investigating the case.
Hasan Ali had repeatedly attempted to bribe Kadam to influence the investigation. Following Kadam’s complaint, the ACB detained Hasan Ali yesterday while he was bribing Kadam at the Bund Garden Police Station premises.
