Pune: Accident Claims Life of 20-Year-Old College Student in Wagholi

Wagholi, 8th January 2024: Around 8 am today in the Katkewadi area of Wagholi, a fatal collision between a two-wheeler and a car unfolded. This marks the second accident in the Wagholi area within eight days.

The victim, identified as 20-year-old Chaitanya Chavan, a resident of Shirur, met with the unfortunate incident. According to the police, Chaitanya was en route to Pune on his two-wheeler when a car collided with his bike in the Katkewadi area, resulting in severe injuries that proved fatal.

Chaitanya was a college student, and his father works as a teacher while his mother holds a private job.

This accident follows another fatal accident in Wagholi on December 31, where 22-year-old Manohar Tonde of Bhavdi lost his life after being hit by a water tanker on Lohgaon Road.

The recurring accidents in Wagholi are causing growing concerns, with pedestrians and two-wheeler riders becoming unfortunate victims of road mishaps.
