Pune: After 21 days, essential commodities shops to open in Wagholi

Wagholi (Pune), May 11, 2020: A review meeting of Corona prevention measures was held at Grampanchayat Wagholi today and it was decided to allow the opening of grocery and vegetable shops in Wagholi for few hours.

Police Inspector Pratap Mankar of Lonikand Police Station (Pune rural police), Health Officer Dr Varsha Gaikwad, Sarpanch and all Grampanchayat members, Zilla Parishad member Dnyaneshwar Katke, former member and Panchayat Samiti members, Talathi, Gramsevak and all other office bearers were present. After discussion, Tehsildar Koli concluded that effective Wednesday only Groceries and Vegetable shops shall be operational from 10 am to 2 pm.

After discussing the inconvenience of the citizens of Wagholi with Haveli Tehsildar Sunil Koli, it was decided to allow opening of vegetables and grocery stores from Wednesday (May 13) 10 am to 2 pm. Also, legal action will be taken against the shop owner who will keep the shop running apart from these timings and do not follow social distancing norms.

Also, it is mandatory for chairman of the housing society or house-owner to provide information of persons coming from outside to Primary Health Center (PHC) Helpline No. 7410088382 else legal action will be taken, said Jaiprakash Satav Patil, member, Grampanchayat Wagholi.
