Pune airport – 4 kg Gold worth Rs 1.29 crores seized from Spice Jet flight

Pune – The AIU team of Customs at Pune International Airport have recovered Four GOLD Bars total weighing 4000 grams valued at Rs. 1,29,04,000/- from Spice Jet Flight No. SG-52 which arrived from Dubai on 10.01.2019 (Thursday) at 04.25 hrs.

The Gold bars were covered with black adhesive tape and kept in the toilet of the Aircraft. All the four Gold Bars are of foreign origin marked and engraved as International precious metal Refiners, bearing Serial marks.

The officer Deshraj Meena, Inspector detected and recovered the Gold Bars from the toilet. Rajesh Ramarao, Joint Commissisoner, Harshal Mete, Deputy Commissisoner, Sudha lyer, Superintendent (AIU), Sanjay V. Zarekar, Satish C. Sangle both Superintendents of Customs, Rajendra Prasad Meena , G J Joshi , B.S. Hagawane all Inspectores of Cusrtoms, S S Nimbalkar & A.N. Bhaat both Havalder of Customs, were involved in the investigation.
