Pune Airport Chaos: SpiceJet Flight to Dubai Leaves Passengers in Limbo
Pune, 12th June 2023: Numerous passengers traveling to Dubai have been left stranded at Pune Airport for the past 6-7 hours, without any official confirmation from SpiceJet regarding their flight’s departure. Frustrated individuals took to social media, reaching out to authorities such as @PMOIndia, @DGCAIndia, and @PuneAirport, seeking urgent attention and assistance.
A passenger expressed his concern on Twitter, stating that SpiceJet’s PNQ to DXB flight has consistently failed to depart on time for over six months, leaving passengers without any support from the airline. He emphasized the plight of senior citizens and children who are stuck at the airport without proper assistance. He urgently called upon relevant authorities for their intervention.
In a subsequent tweet, he tagged @JM_Scindia and @PMOIndia, revealing that the flight was delayed by a staggering 11 hours. He criticized the lack of support from Pune Airport authorities, claiming that they offered no assistance apart from providing additional benches. Passengers were compelled to wait for an additional six hours with no access to lounge facilities.
The distressing situation faced by the stranded passengers was further corroborated by another individual who shared videos and photos on social media platforms. They highlighted the fact that despite enduring a prolonged wait of 6-7 hours, there had been no official communication from @flyspicejet regarding the flight’s departure time. Concerned travelers appealed to @PMOIndia, @DGCAIndia, and @PuneAirport for immediate action.
