Pune Airport Flight Operations Returning to Normal After Weather Disruptions; Two Flights Diverted, One Cancelled

Viman Nagar, 6th July 2026: Flight operations at Pune Airport are gradually returning to normal after adverse weather conditions earlier in the day temporarily disrupted air traffic, leading to the diversion of two flights and delays to a few arriving and departing services.
According to Pune Airport Director Santosh Dhoke, weather conditions have improved, and no further weather-related delays or diversions are expected at present.
“Due to adverse weather conditions in the region earlier today, flight operations at Pune Airport were temporarily impacted, resulting in the diversion of two flights and delays to a few arriving and departing services. With improvement in weather conditions, flight operations are gradually returning to normal, and no further weather-related delays or diversions are expected at present,” Dhoke said.
Among the affected flights, IndiGo flight 6E-502 from Chennai to Pune landed safely at Pune Airport after a temporary diversion. Another IndiGo service, flight 6E-135 from Kolkata to Pune, is currently operating from Hyderabad and is expected to arrive at Pune Airport by 5:00 pm.
In addition, one Akasa Air flight was cancelled due to operational reasons of the airline and was not related to the weather.
Despite the temporary disruption to flight schedules, terminal operations at Pune Airport remained normal throughout the day, and all passenger facilities continued to function smoothly.
Airport authorities have advised passengers to check the latest flight status with their respective airlines before leaving for the airport to avoid inconvenience.
