Pune airport – Foreign object debris removal and No photography drive held

Pune, April 3 : The Airlines Operators Commitee (AOC), Pune, on Wednesday organised FOD (foreign object debris) removal and No photography drive at apron area of Pune aiport.

FOD is any object that does not belong in or near airplanes and, as a result, can injure airport or airline personnel and damage airplanes. A FOD-prevention program of training, facility inspection, maintenance, and coordination between all affected parties can minimize FOD and its effects.

The participants in the drive included airlines staff, representatives from Airport Authority of India and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

AOC consists of members from all airlines, they work together for betterment of common facilities available at the airport to attain highest level of passenger services and safety.

The drive conducted by AOC was to create common awareness amongst all employees working at airport to ensure Pune airfield is always clean from FODs and photography is restricted as Pune airport is part of defence airfield.
