Pune Airport Gets 15 More Slots, New Routes to Mangalore, Solapur, Bagdogra From May

Pune, 13th April 2026: Pune Airport is set to expand its connectivity footprint as it has been allotted 15 additional flight slots, taking the total number from 220 to 235.

The enhanced capacity is expected to improve passenger movement and operational efficiency, while paving the way for the introduction of new routes connecting Pune with Mangalore, Solapur and Bagdogra. Officials said the new connections are likely to give a boost to tourism, trade and regional integration.

The expansion has been facilitated with the support of the Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, whose intervention has helped augment slot availability and strengthen the airport’s connectivity.

Pune Airport also continues to play a key role under the Centre’s Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS-UDAN), with existing links to Nanded, Kishangarh, Sindhudurg and Jalgaon. These routes are aimed at improving last-mile connectivity and promoting balanced regional development.

Officials said the increase in slot capacity and addition of new destinations underline the airport’s efforts to enhance connectivity and passenger convenience, while supporting the region’s economic growth.

The revised schedule, including the newly introduced flights, will come into effect from May 1, 2026.
