Pune Airport to Host Painting Contest, Health Check-ups, and Cultural Programs on Yatri Sewa Diwas
Viman Nagar, 16th September 2025: In a spirit of service, culture, and sustainability, Airports Authority of India (AAI), Pune Airport, will celebrate Yatri Sewa Diwas on 17th September 2025, with an engaging and vibrant lineup of activities aimed at enhancing passenger experience and strengthening community ties.
The occasion will commence with a warm welcome for arriving passengers through the traditional gesture of Tika, symbolizing India’s rich hospitality. Furthering its commitment to sustainability, Pune Airport will organize a Tree Plantation Drive, in association with senior citizens, under the national campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, reinforcing its dedication to environmental responsibility.
Passengers will also experience the rich cultural heritage of the region as folk dance performances are scheduled at regular intervals in the Terminal Building during peak hours. These lively performances will reflect local traditions and provide a colorful addition to the travel experience.
Special engagements have been designed for children and families to make the day memorable. A Patriotic-themed Painting Competition will be organized in the Security Hold Area (SHA), encouraging young minds to express creativity and national pride. Additionally, photo booths will be placed at key locations, offering passengers and families an opportunity to capture joyful moments.
In line with its commitment to health and wellness, Pune Airport will host a Blood Donation Camp, along with free health check-up kiosks offering blood pressure, blood sugar, and hemoglobin testing for passengers and airport staff. A dedicated Eye Check-up Facility will also be set up outside the terminal to serve autorickshaw and taxi drivers, who play an essential role in passenger connectivity.
The celebration will further focus on education and awareness. Students from Classes 10th to 12th will be invited for a familiarization visit to Pune Airport. This initiative aims to provide valuable insights into airport operations and inspire young students by showcasing diverse career opportunities in the aviation sector.
Through this holistic celebration of Yatri Sewa Diwas, Pune Airport emphasizes its role as more than a transit hub — a place where culture is celebrated, the environment is nurtured, community bonds are strengthened, and passenger service remains paramount.
