Baramati, 28th January 2026: An aircraft carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar met with an accident at Baramati Airport on Wednesday while en route from Mumbai to Baramati for a campaign event. Initial reports indicate that several people on board sustained injuries in the incident, including Pawar.

According to preliminary information, the aircraft was attempting to land at Baramati Airport when the mishap occurred. Ajit Pawar was traveling to the city to attend a public meeting as part of his political campaign for the ZP election. While there is no official confirmation yet about the exact cause of the accident, sources said that some passengers and crew members were hurt and have been rushed for medical treatment.
Emergency services and airport authorities immediately reached the spot and began rescue and relief operations. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, and their condition is being monitored. Security around the airport has been tightened as a precaution.
