Baramati, 7th May 2024: All eyes were on the happenings in the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency today as voting took place. NCP (Sharad Pawar) Leader and Karjat-Jamkhed MLA Rohit Pawar has alleged that members of the NCP (Ajit Pawar) were seen threatening supporters of Baramati Lok Sabha candidate Supriya Sule in the six Vidhan Sabha constituencies under the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency.

Sule’s lawyers have lodged more than 150 serious complaints regarding this. These complaints include allegations of booth capturing, openly giving bribes to voters even in the presence of police protection, preventing voters from reaching voting centres, and instances of manhandling and physical violence. These complaints have been submitted via email.

A video of MLA Dattatray Bharne abusing voters in Anthurne village of Indapur went viral on social media. MLA Rohit Pawar released two videos from his official social media accounts.

According to sources, lawyer Pranjal Agarwal, along with Rohit Pawar, has filed complaints with the Election Commission, Chief Election Officer, and Police Administration from Sule’s official email ID.

Kavita Dwivedi, Electoral Returning Officer of Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency, said, “We have received some complaints. The same will be verified, and appropriate action will be taken. Meanwhile, following the complaint of money distribution in Bhor, further action is underway. Action will also be taken against the persons concerned for worshipping the EVM in Khadakwasla constituency.”
