Pune: Anti Narcotics Cell Nabs Katraj Man With Ganja And Charas Worth Rs 43.87 Lakh

Pune, 11th January 2025: Pune Police’s Anti Narcotics Cell has seized 1 kg 790 grams of Ganja (Marijuana) and 2 kg 140 grams of Charas (Hashish) worth Rs 43.87 Lakh. Arun Ashok Arora (age 50, resident of Katraj) has been arrested in connection with the case. A case has been registered at Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985.
The action was taken by Assistant Police Inspector Nitin Kumar Naik and his team while they were patrolling, acting on a tip-off received by Police Constable Yogesh Mandhare. Arora was subsequently arrested. Assistant Police Inspector Aniket Pote is conducting further investigation into the matter.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of senior officials. The team led by API Naik included Police Constables Mandhare, Prashant Bomadandi, Nitin Jagadale, Azad Patil, Sandeep Jadhav, Disha Khevalkar, and Ravindra Rokade.
