Pune: ARAI To Organize Symposium On International Automotive Technology Between September 29th And October 1st 

Pune, September 21, 2021: The 17th edition of Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT) 2021 organized by The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) in association with SAEINDIA and SAE International (USA) will be held from September 29 to October 1, 2021. In the light of the current situation related to COVID19, the Conference & Expo will be organized in virtual mode for the first time. This was announced by Dr. Reji Mathai, Director, ARAI and Dr. S. S. Thipse, Convenor, SIAT 2021 in a Press Conference held at ARAI today.  Other officials from ARAI including Nitin Dhande, Senior Deputy Director, Anand Deshpande, Senior Deputy Director, Vijay Pankhawala, Deputy Director and Dr. B V. Shamsundara, Deputy Director were present on the occasion.

Central Heavy Industries Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey will inaugurate SIAT 2021 and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will be the Chief Guest for the valedictory for the closing ceremony.

 

The theme of SIAT 2021 will be ‘Redefining Mobility for the Future’. It will serve as a forum for exchange of ideas and brainstorming for the automotive industry, with participation of eminent experts worldwide in various automotive arenas and will cover topics including Active and Passive Safety Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Advanced Powertrain Technology, Biofuels, Construction Equipment Vehicles, E-mobility, Emission Measurement & Control Technology, Harmonization of Regulations, Materials & Manufacturing and Public Transportation Systems among many others.

Experts world over will present around 200 technical papers, including 40 keynotes, on various subjects in SIAT 2021 and apart from Symposium Proceedings, Technical Reference Bulletin, containing technical articles, case studies and product information will be published digitally.

 

Virtual Expo at SIAT2021 will offer an appropriate platform for a spectrum of worldwide companies to showcase their products, technologies, innovations and services through virtual stalls.

 

The expo will attract automotive OEMs, Tier – I, Tier – II and Tier – III suppliers, equipment manufacturers, CAD/CAM/CAE tool providers, technologists, engineering service providers and test agencies, to showcase their products and service capabilities and would be open to all automotive fraternity and interested individuals.

 

SIAT2021 will also host Student Poster Presentation Competition in virtual form and announcement in this respect will be made available on the SIAT2021 website.
