Pune: Arya, Pooja, Ritika, Vaishnavi Selected for Indian Women’s Futsal Team Trials
Pune, 17th November 2024: City-based Aspire Football Club is proud to announce that four of its talented players — Arya More, Pooja Gupta, Ritika Singh, and Vaishnavi Barate— have been selected among the 25 probable for the Indian Women’s Futsal Team. These players will participate in the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian 2025 Qualifiers, marking a significant milestone for the PDFA registered club, Aspire FC, and the ‘promising careers of the players’.
The selection trials, held for the first time in the history of Indian women’s futsal, saw participation from 121 players nationwide. Arya, Pooja, Ritika, and Vaishnavi stood out with their exceptional skills and teamwork, earning their place in the elite top 25.
Adding to their accolades, all four were integral members of the Maharashtra Senior Women’s Football Team, which topped its group in the Rajmata Jijabai Trophy and secured a final round spot in the National Championship. Kolhapur-born Arya More led the team as captain, showcasing exemplary leadership and dedication.
