Pune: Aspirant Duped Of Rs 10 Lakh On Pretext Of Job In Police Department
Pune 18th August 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad police have booked three people for allegedly duping an aspirant for Rs 10 lakh in the name of giving job in the police department. The accused paid the amount on two ocassions between December 2022 and February 2023.
According to the complaint registered with the police, the accused got in touch with complainant in 2019 and he assured him of giving job in the police department. However, when he realised that the accused are just giving assurances he reached out to police to lodge complaint in the matter. The aspirant’s wife has lodged a complaint with police in the case.
A case in this regard has been registered at Talegaon Dabhade Police Station under sections 420 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against three accused identified as Santosh Babaso Kadam (50), Sanad Santosh Kadam (26) and Sanket Santosh Kadam (26) all residents of Kharghar, Navi Mumbai in the matter. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
