Pune: Assistant Police Inspector From Kondhwa Demands Bribe Of Rs Two Lakhs For Land Dispute Case

Pune, 25th November 2022: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken action against the Assistant Police Inspector of Kondhwa Police Station, who demanded a bribe of two lakh rupees for not taking action in a land dispute. A case has been registered at the Kondhwa police station in this regard. It is the second action related to bribery at Kondhwa Police Station in the last few days.

 

Swaraj Patil is the name of the assistant police inspector who asked for a bribe. Patil is posted at Kondhwa Police Station. A complaint was lodged at Kondhwa Police Station regarding a land dispute against the 38-year-old complainant’s wife and father-in-law. Swaraj Patil had asked for a bribe of two lakh rupees to help the complainant without taking any action on the complaint application.

In this case, the complainant had filed a complaint with ACB. Accordingly, the ACB team verified. It became clear that a bribe was demanded. Accordingly, a case has been registered against Patil under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
