Pune Author Sanjay Runwal Receives International Recognition for ‘Golden Retirement’
Pune, 15th October 2026: Pune-based author and retirement educator Dr. Sanjay Runwal has received recognition from the International Impact Book Awards for his book Golden Retirement: Design Your Next Chapter, Beyond the Balance Sheet, according to a press release.
The book was recognised under the organisation’s Standard of Excellence, which assesses writing quality, substance, presentation and reader impact. Runwal was also conferred the distinction of Distinguished Author, the release said.
Golden Retirement explores the emotional, social and purpose-driven aspects of retirement, moving beyond financial planning to examine how individuals can prepare for life after their working years.
“Retirement is not merely a financial event. It is a major life transition. Through Golden Retirement, my objective has been to help individuals design a meaningful and fulfilling second innings beyond wealth accumulation,” Runwal said.
The book outlines practical approaches to finding purpose, maintaining relationships, nurturing well-being and staying engaged during retirement. It addresses the gap between preparing financially for retirement and preparing for the changes in daily life, social connections and personal identity that can accompany it.
According to the release, the International Impact Book Awards recognises books for excellence in writing, meaningful contribution and a positive impact on readers.
