Hinjawadi, 18th June 2025: Pune Authorities are actively addressing several civic issues in Hinjawadi Phases 1, 2, and 3, focusing on improving rainwater drainage, road repairs, and other essential urban infrastructure. Following a directive from Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhasé last week, coordinated efforts are underway involving the PMRDA, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), and other agencies to resolve these long-standing problems.

Key ongoing projects include the removal of debris between the metro station and viaduct by the metro concessionaire company, installation of stormwater drains near Dohler Company and Sai Proviso buildings, and cleaning of drainage channels along the metro corridor by MIDC. Additionally, unauthorized construction at metro station number 3 is being dismantled following notices issued by the development permission department, while road realignment work is progressing in the Pandav Nagar area of Hinjawadi Phase 2.

Joint inspections involving MIDC, PMRDA, and Tata company representatives have facilitated the transfer and repair of streetlights, with repair work already in progress. Unauthorized stalls near metro station number 1 on the main MIDC road have been removed to improve accessibility. Road pothole repairs are ongoing through combined efforts of the metro concessionaire and MIDC. Tata company has also installed directional and informational signage at the metro stations to assist commuters.
