Pune: Baramati Bus Stand Ranked Maharashtra’s Cleanest, Wins Rs 1 Crore Prize

Pune, 30th May 2026: Baramati bus stand has secured the first rank in Maharashtra in the ‘A’ category under the state government’s ‘Hinduhṛdayasamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Clean and Beautiful Bus Stand Campaign 2025’, earning a cash prize of Rs 1 crore and a commemorative memento.

Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar congratulated the residents of Baramati and employees of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), describing the achievement as a matter of pride for the town.

Praising the efforts behind the accomplishment, Pawar said the bus stand had emerged as a model of cleanliness, discipline, planning and efficient management. She termed the recognition a reflection of the development vision of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and said Baramati’s transformation had become an example for the rest of the state.

She also credited the success to the collective efforts of MSRTC staff, including drivers, conductors, mechanical personnel, administrative officials and supervisory employees, who worked towards maintaining high standards at the depot.

The award was announced as part of the state-wide cleanliness campaign aimed at improving the quality, upkeep and passenger experience at bus stations across Maharashtra. Pawar said the achievement had given Baramati a distinct identity and extended her congratulations to all citizens and employees associated with the success.
