Pune: Battle Heats up Between BJP and Mahavikas Aghadi in Kasba and Chinchwad By-Elections

Pune, 17th February 2023: The upcoming by-election in Kasba and Chinchwad assembly constituencies is set to be a tough contest between the BJP and the Mahavikas Aghadi. While the BJP has fielded a young candidate, the aging population in the area is proving to be a challenge for their campaign.
In contrast, Mahavikas Aghadi’s candidate, Ravindra Dhangekar, has received the blessings of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, who is expected to campaign in both constituencies.
Today, Dhangekar met with Pawar, and they have scheduled a rally on February 22 from 4 to 9 pm for the Kasba by-election. Senior leaders Ankush Kakade and Vitthalsheth Maniyar were also present at the meeting. With Pawar’s support and the backing of the entire Mahavikas Aghadi system, Dhangekar expressed confidence in his victory.
The BJP and Mahavikas Aghadi have both organized meetings and rallies of veteran leaders for campaigning. However, everyone is paying close attention to Pawar’s meeting, as he is known as a game-changer in elections. Pawar’s involvement in the campaign could significantly impact the outcome of the by-election.
