PUNE: BEG AND SPPU CONDUCTED MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAM FOR RETIRING ARMY PERSONNEL
Pune, 16th May 2023: In a path breaking endeavor, The Bombay Engineer Group and Pune University conducted the Inaugural Session of the Management Trg Program for retiring Junior Commissioned Officers and Jawans on 16 May 2023. The three day program which comprises of six sessions is an exemplary Academic & Military collaboration. The program will empower the men due to move out on retirement shortly as they step out of uniform and join the dynamic civilian work force of the country.
The program will bridge the gap between expectations of the industry and the skill, discipline and capabilities of Army personnel equipped with technical skills as they step into their second innings.
The program is being directed by Dr. (Capt) C M Chitale, Retd. Chair Professor, Shantanurao Kirloskar Chair (SPPU) under the umbrella of Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA) of SPPU which is headed by Dr. Supriya Patil.
The opening address for the program was delivered by Commandant BEG & Centre (Khadki) who highlighted the commitment of the Army towards empowerment of our JCOs & Jawans and conveyed his gratitude to Pune University for accepting the request for collaboration in this endeavor.
The three day program will be conducted by Industry and subject experts who will cover topics such as Orientation to Civil life, Financial Management, Communication Skills and Leadership in and out of uniform.
